Latest Update-Prayers needed!!!

If you've been keeping up with this, you will want to read this...
Julie's not doing well again. She is having to have chemo because the arsenic didn't knock all the cancer out. Well, yesterday she started running a fever and Joyce had to take her to the hospital. They admitted her yesterday. All we know is that her fever reached 101.7 and she said she wasn't feeling well. She has had an upbeat attitude the entire time, but seems to be worn out right now. Please pray for her health and her emotional strength.

Continue to Pray

We're still praying and waiting on the results of the current treatments for Julie. The last we heard was that she was not doing really well this go round. She's feeling extremely down physically and emotionally. I am assuming she probably is having her good and bad days. Please continue to pray for her as it's looking like she's going to end up having some mild chemo treatments following this round of the arsenic.
As for Katie (Julie's 13 year old daughter), please continue to pray for her as well. We have not really received any updates on her, but we're afraid with everything going on that she's neglecting herself in worrying about her mom.

The Latest...not much to say...

Okay, so I didn't want anyone following to keep seeing nothing new...there's not much, but I do know that apparently one test shows no more signs of the Leukemia; however, another tests still shows traces of it?? These tests were done prior to the start of her last 10 weeks of treatment, so hopefully this will knock out any of the cancer cells that may be left.
As for everything else...I think everyone is doing okay for now. I haven't heard anything recently about Katie, so I guess no news is good news. Sorry to be so vague, but I just don't have much information.
Julie looks great though! She recently got her hair cut and styled and looks about 10 years younger! She looks absolutely amazing to have gone through and be going through all that she is!!!
Continue to pray though as we are uncertain about the test that is still showing some of the cancer cells.
Take care and God bless!

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Julie got even better news than our last post.....on Wednesday of this week Julie found out that her CANCER IS GONE!!!!! They could not find a trace of cancer in her bone marrow!! My understanding is that she will have five weeks of treatment, then two weeks off, then an additional five weeks of treatment and she will be done as long as the tests show again that there is no trace of it. Thank you all so much for your prayers! Please continue to keep their family in your prayers as they are not completely through everything yet, but please spread the word that OUR GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYERS!!!!!

Great News!!!

Today, Katie got the best phone call of her life!! Julie called at 2:40pm and said,"Katie, I get to come home tomorrow. I'm going to be home for Christmas!!!" Julie is so excited! She told us that she is going to start packing up her stuff immediately. The doctors said that they have never seen someones numbers go from around 1.26 to a perfect 10 so fast!!! God is GREAT!!! Julie will be coming home tomorrow, after her arsenic treatment. She will get to be home Christmas Eve & Christmas Day!! This is the best Christmas present anyone could ask for. The only thing is that Julie will have to go back to the hospital 12/29 and stay until 1/2, but then after that, she will be at home for good, and only have to go in everyday as an outpatient for her treatment. Please continue praying for Julie and her family.

Update 12/17

I have some sad news today...I found out yesterday that Julie will not be going home for Christmas. Apparently something happened and Julie has gotten really sick. At this point I don't have a lot of information, but as soon as I do I will post it. Please pray for Julie and her family as they are having a hard time with this.

I went by Joyce's today to drop off a card and some money that was collected by a Sunday School class at my church and I got sokids me new information...
The Great News is that Julie's counts were high enough that ALL of the kids got to see her. Joe surprised her by having them in the cafeteria (Ethan still can't go on her floor, but she can see him in the cafeteria if her counts are high) when she went down for dinner. She was really happy to see them, but Ethan and Amber had a really hard time leaving.
For the bad news...they found out that Julie will not be able to do the treatments as outpatient, so she will have to be in the hospital for 5 days and then if her counts are high enough, she will be able to go home for 2 weeks, then back to the hospital for 5 days and so forth.
Finishing up this post with some good news, the doctor told them that he is very hopeful for Julie! He said that even if she doesn't make it home for this Christmas (which is still a likely possibility), she needs to think about the many more Christmas' she will get to spend with the family. He said that she just needs to let him get this knocked out before she can go home so that she can look forward to the future!
Please continue to pray for Julie and their entire family. As you know, they all have a lot of issues going on right now!
